Travel Torture

I had taken up a week's assignment, where I had to travel all the way from CST to Badlapur, which is like 70kms travel, everyday. It took up 3.5 hours of my time everyday just to travel to and fro. This kind of travel feels like such a waste of time. For 4 hours of work, I had to travel almost another 4 hours everyday. Thankfully it was just for a week so I could handle it. I wonder how to people manage to travel that long everyday. I have heard from some friends that they travel for 3 hours a day to-fro their college. I wonder how do they manage that?
